Five Best Cigar Hangouts

“A good cigar is like tasting a good wine: you smell it, you taste it, you look at it, you feel it – you can even hear it. It satisfies all the senses.” — Anonymous

I know you don’t have time to research some of the more prestigious cigar bars around the world, so I thought I would! I’ve compiled list of 5 exciting cigar bars that I think you find the most interesting. The following bars made my list.

Top 5 Cigar Bars:

Velvet Cigar Lounge-New York City, New York—United States

cigar4I found this cigar bar to be a premier candidate for my top 5 selections of cigar bars. I like it for the simplistic atmosphere and handcrafted cigars. They have simple company spirit in providing, “relaxation while rewarding yourself with what we consider the luxuries of life.” I found the company places a higher focus on the quality of their cigars instead of the quantity they have available. This company is family owned, which means they put 110% into everything they do. They use high quality vintage tobaccos from around the world, combined with personally selected leaves, making every cigar unique in quality and craftsmanship. This is also a great establishment to have a fun, or bring a romantic date. Bring your own beer though, this is a dry bar that does not sell, but allows you to bring your own for a low price. This bar also does special events where they have a cigar roller with over 20 years experience come to your event and provide your guests with a whole different level of entertainment.

The Burlington Club- The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel and Spa

cigar3Complete with leather sofas and large, stylish chairs, this intimate cigar lounge gives the ultimate experience. It’s “Gentleman’s Club” atmosphere still attracts the finest of women. I find the bar was stocked with the finest Havana cigars while the spirit of this cigar room falls nothing short of what you’d expect from Ritz-Carlton. Because cigar smoking has such an opulent status, this bar is stocked with nothing but the finest malt’s, cognacs and vintage wines. Some even argue them the best in the country. It’s easy to become relaxed in a hurry. Enjoy!

Ozio Lounge- Washington D.C, United States

cigar1If you’re looking to get lost somewhere, this 4-level cigar lounge is the place! Complete with 6 bars, 6 large fireplaces, 3 private rooms, and a walk-in cigar humidor, this lounge creates its own special experience. If you find the urge to speak with someone in private, the top two floors are reserved for VIPs. A full selection of alcoholic beverages is available, along with an array of various cigars. You can find names like Macanudo and Partagus here. Arturo Fuentes seems to be the bars biggest selection. Bring your relaxation cap, but look to have fun too!

Havana Club- Baltimore, Md. United States

cigar2“Best of Baltimore Cigar Bar,” boasts Baltimore Magazine; I couldn’t help but argue. While this is a fine cigar bar, anyone who is looking a cigar bar AND a nightclub can find both here. This bar also has a gentleman’s atmosphere, complete with private seating sections, premium lighting, and one of the best sound systems in Baltimore. Looking beyond furnishings, this nightclub provides an extensive wine and cigar list. It includes a 1964 Arturo Fuente Don Carlos. I find that their cigar list is one of the most premium around, detailing the type of wrapper, filler, body, and binder. If you’re looking to enjoy a cigar, and party the night away, this is your destination! So party on!

Tynska Bar and Books- Prague, Czech Republic

cigar5Originally founded in NYC, I found this bar to be very proud of their hosted events. The company self proclaims themselves to be, “The World’s Most Refreshingly Civilized Places to Meet.” Although this bar does not provide lush, comfortable, over-stuffed leather chairs, the general atmosphere pulls the patron into the excitement. This is a great place to go if you’re vacationing in the area, and are just looking for a nice bar to grab a drink and enjoy a premium cigar.
