Padrón, one of the leading cigar manufacturers, released their famous 1926 Serie to commemorate Jóse O. Padrón’s 75th birthday in 2002.  Seven years later, it is still considered to be some of the top cigars ever produced. The seven cigar series has been rated highly by Cigar Aficionado, with the Serie No. 9 garnering a 97 in February 2008.

The Padrón family has been involved in the tobacco industry since the late 1800s, with production starting in Little Havana in 1964. Still a wholly-owned family business, Padrón maintains factories in Nicaragua and Honduras.
